ARCHIVED: Accessibility Statements Show Commitment to all Site Users

They let the public know that an organization is thinking about all its site visitors. A good Statement should have a phone number and an email address or form for people to use if they face a barrier on the website. At the top of this article Lainey recommends other resources to stay current about Accessibility Statements.
