CVS Online Pharmacy Now Offers Talking Prescription Containers

The press release posted here announces that CVS.com is now offering ScripTalk talking prescription labels to pharmacy customers with visual impairments. This announcement is the result of Structured Negotiations between CVS, the American Council of the Blind, the California Council of the Blind and the American Foundation for the Blind. Humana Talking Prescription Label and Accessible Information Settlement Agreement.

The settlement agreement posted here was reached through Structured Negotiations, an alternative dispute resolution process that focuses on collaboration and solution without lawsuits. Working with the American Council of the Blind and blind Humana customers in Structured Negotiations, Humana agreed to provide talking and braille prescription labels to allow blind people and others with print disabilities to access important health and safety information on prescription labels. Caremark Offers Talking Prescription Labels, Braille, Large Print

Congratulations CVS Health! Today the largest integrated pharmacy company in the United States announced that is now offering talking, braille and large print prescription labels through its mail service pharmacy, commonly known as Caremark. The labels are available to Individuals with vision impairments. This important health, safety and accessibility initiative was reached as a result of a collaboration with the American Council of the Blind and several blind Caremark members. Walmart Accessible Prescription Information Settlement Agreement

Posted here is the settlement agreement between Walmart, the American Council of the Blind, the American Foundation for the Blind, and the California Council of the Blind. The agreement is the first in the country in which a national pharmacy retailer has agreed to providing talking prescription containers to pharmacy customers with visual impairments. Walmart Offers Talking Prescription Containers to Customers with Visual Impairments

The Walmart press release posted here announces a pilot program in which Talking Prescription Containers will be available for blind Walmart customers across the country through Walmart mail order, and also for blind customers at three Walmart stores.
