Caremark Offers Talking Prescription Labels, Braille, Large Print

Congratulations CVS Health! Today the largest integrated pharmacy company in the United States announced that is now offering talking, braille and large print prescription labels through its mail service pharmacy, commonly known as Caremark. The labels are available to Individuals with vision impairments. This important health, safety and accessibility initiative was reached as a result of a collaboration with the American Council of the Blind and several blind Caremark members. Rite Aid Now Offers Talking Prescription Labels

Congratulations to Rite Aid! Today the company announced it is offering talking prescription labels at all of the company’s retail pharmacies in the United States. (Rite Aid currently operates more than 4,500 locations). The press release posted below is the result of a Structured Negotiation between Rite Aid and the American Council of the Blind, the California Council of the Blind, and several blind Rite Aid customers. CVS Spoken Rx™ Press Release

CVS Pharmacy announced that it has developed Spoken Rx™, a new feature of the CVS Pharmacy app that can read a specific type of label for patients with visual impairments and those who cannot read standard print labels.
