First Addendum to MLB Settlement Agreement

The settlement posted here extends the Agreement between Major League Baseball and the American Council of the Blind and its Massachusetts and California affiliates. This is the first agreement of its kind to address the accessibility of applications for mobile devices. MLB has agreed to use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA as its standard for mobile applications, and has recently released AtBat™ for the iPhone and iPad with enhanced accessibility. Raley’s Point of Sale Settlement Agreement

The settlement agreement posted here was reached through Structured Negotiations, an alternative dispute resolution process that focuses on collaboration and solution. Working with the California Council of the Blind and blind Raley’s shoppers in Structured Negotiations, Raley’s agreed to upgrade the chain’s check-out devices so blind people no longer have to disclose their PIN when using a PIN-based card such as a debit card. Humana Talking Prescription Label and Accessible Information Settlement Agreement.

The settlement agreement posted here was reached through Structured Negotiations, an alternative dispute resolution process that focuses on collaboration and solution without lawsuits. Working with the American Council of the Blind and blind Humana customers in Structured Negotiations, Humana agreed to provide talking and braille prescription labels to allow blind people and others with print disabilities to access important health and safety information on prescription labels. Bank of America Online and Mobile Security Solutions Settlement Agreement

Since its early commitment to Talking ATMs and web accessibility in 2000, Bank of America has had a leadership role in providing accessible services to customers who are blind and visually impaired. Posted here is the Bank’s most recent settlement agreement with the blind community, addressing the accessibility of security features on the bank website and mobile iOS applications. Walmart Accessible Prescription Information Settlement Agreement

Posted here is the settlement agreement between Walmart, the American Council of the Blind, the American Foundation for the Blind, and the California Council of the Blind. The agreement is the first in the country in which a national pharmacy retailer has agreed to providing talking prescription containers to pharmacy customers with visual impairments. Charles Schwab Web Accessibility Agreement

Posted here is the settlement agreement between Charles Schwab and one of its blind customers about website accessibility. Schwab engaged in the Structured Negotiations process with the Law Office of Lainey Feingold and has made a significant commitment to ensuring that its website is inclusive for all customers. Trader Joe’s Point of Sale Agreement and Amendment

Accessible Credit Reports Agreement

The accessible credit reports agreement was negotiated by Lainey Feingold and Linda Dardarian on behalf of the American Council of the Blind, the California Council of the Blind and blind individuals Paul Parravano, Lucy Greco and Lori Gray. In the Agreement, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion agreed to provide credit reports that are accessible to people who are blind and visually impaired. On-line reports will meet standards established by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium, and credit reports will be made available in Braille, Large Print, and on audio CD.
