Lainey Feingold’s reputation as a knowledgeable and interesting speaker on the topic of accessibility preceded her as the guest of honor at Durham-Raleigh A11y’s first birthday celebration.  However, while working with her in preparation for this event, I learned what makes Lainey a truly wonderful speaker, and what underpins the entire Digital Accessibility Ethics framework: her authenticity, compassion, and integrity.  Lainey cares about the individual people for whom the Digital Accessibility Ethics framework exists and this radiates from her.  The book is pivotal.  I recommend it regularly to folks from a variety of professions.  If you have the opportunity for Lainey, or for any of the book’s other authors or editors to host a discussion about Digital Accessibility Ethics, take it!  Lainey led one of the most captivating and thought-provoking discussions I have attended. Our group loved it.
